Its one of the richest coutries in India. A lot happens here everyday, every year, but does anyone bother to look around and find out which birds live with us in the huge human dominated eco-system? I guess not many. Many of us only know sparrows, crows, pigeons and parrots! But Mumbai harbors more than 40 species of birds. Some of them are displayed below, while some are not. This page is entirely dedicated to photographs that I have taken while birding in Mumbai. I spotted this bird for the very first time in Mumbai although it has been spotted quite a few times in Pune.<\/p>\n<p>I also spotted a few egrets on my trip outside Mumbai to Kelwa Beach. Which is not very far away but a very good place to escape from the environmental pollution for a day. Also spotted a few plovers there.
