It\u2019s the brain that shows you images, do all the settings for network, mount an HDD for it to record everything, it\u2019s where all the other ends of coaxial cables and connectors get to.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Coaxial cables \u2013 Some might come already come with connectors, and some might not. Some cables come with extra wires to power up cameras, and some might not. <span class=\"veryhardreadability\">If they don\u2019t you need a standard cable 2 x 1.5 (+ and -) or thicker and special connectors (dad type) that connect with the cameras \u2013 The end of the cable connects to the transformer<\/span>.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cameras (indoor or outdoor type \u2013 must choose accordingly) \u2013 Most cameras have a power consumption less than 10W. It&#8217;s required a power transformer that can relay the input of 220V to an output of 12V (or 24V for <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2GZgBjL\">Speed Domes<\/a> \u2013 the rotative cameras). An Older Version of cameras used 220V into their circuit. They also have an HD or FullHD quality (depending on the company that sells them \u2013 The cheaper the package is, the lower the resolution of the cameras). For that, I recommend wireless cameras that use a microphone and wireless capabilities. That means the parent can supervise his\/her children <\/span><span class=\"adverb\"><span data-offset-key=\"2spn2-1-0\">remotely<\/span><\/span><span data-offset-key=\"2spn2-2-0\">.<\/span><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Before you mount the cameras on a surface, make sure they work the way you want them to. Follow those steps, and it should be okay.<\/span><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span data-offset-key=\"b3p5k-0-0\">Without further ado, let\u2019s get to the online explaining part. <\/span><span class=\"hardreadability\"><span data-offset-key=\"b3p5k-1-0\">Every surveillance system, if at least six years old and not more, offers the standard ways to connect it to view online<\/span><\/span><span data-offset-key=\"b3p5k-2-0\">.<\/span><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span data-offset-key=\"37vk2-0-0\">Setting it online is not hard at all. I will tell you how to do it.<\/span><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<center><p><script type=\"text\/javascript\">\n\tatOptions = {\n\t\t'key' : 'a488f095e80c8a74746e5fdca977eaea',\n\t\t'format' : 'iframe',\n\t\t'height' : 90,\n\t\t'width' : 728,\n\t\t'params' : {}\n\t};\n\tdocument.write('<scr' + 'ipt type=\"text\/javascript\" src=\"http' + (location.protocol === 'https:' ? 's' : '') + ':\/\/www.profitabledisplaynetwork.com\/a488f095e80c8a74746e5fdca977eaea\/invoke.js\"><\/scr' + 'ipt>');\n<\/script><\/p><\/center>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The simplest form is like the following:<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Access your router first by typing its local gateway IP into a browser. This should be either <em>192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1<\/em>. Once connected to the interface, remember the gateway IP number and proceed to the next step;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Power up your DVR and plug in a PC monitor through VGA or HDMI cable connectors. Also, connect a network patch from DVR to a router;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Use your mouse to navigate through the wizard at first start-up;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Set the password (crucial). This is to protect yourself against hackers and unknown guests;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Enter the menu of the DVR, navigate to Network settings (it should appear obvious somewhere);<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Make sure of the following parameters (we will take an example of router\u2019s gateway being <em>192.168.0.1<\/em>):<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>DHCP &#8211; <\/strong>deactivated<strong>;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Local Ipv4 <\/strong>as <em>192.168.0.50<\/em> (an example, doesn\u2019t have to be 50, choose from 192.168.0.2<em> to <\/em>192.168.0.255);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Gateway &#8211;<\/strong> as <em>192.168.0.1<\/em>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Subnet mask &#8211;<\/strong> <em>255.255.255.0<\/em>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>First DNS <\/strong>is <em>8.8.8.8<\/em>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Second DNS<\/strong> is <em>8.8.4.4<\/em>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>UPNP<\/strong> set to active;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Change the ports if required.<\/strong> Practically there are three types of ports. Http, Media, and RTSP. I would change all three categories to <em>Http being 81, Media being 8000 or the closest of the default given by the DVR, RTSP being 554.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Remember all the settings;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Get back to the router\u2019s interface by accessing <em>192.168.0.1<\/em>;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Proceed to Port forwarding;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Add all three ports to 192.168.0.50. <\/strong>Internal and External port of HTTP should be <em>82, 554 and 8000.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td><strong>Name of the service<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>External port<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Internal port<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Ip address<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>External address<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td>DvrHTTP<\/td><td>81<\/td><td>81<\/td><td>192.168.0.50<\/td><td>EMPTY FIELD<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>DvrMediaPort<\/td><td>8000<\/td><td>8000<\/td><td>192.168.0.50<\/td><td>EMPTY FIELD<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>DvrRTSP<\/td><td>554<\/td><td>554<\/td><td>192.168.0.50<\/td><td>EMPTY FIELD<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span data-offset-key=\"ddauj-0-0\">After you apply the settings, try accessing the DVR through the local IP.<\/span><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Type in the browser the following address: <a href=\"http:\/\/192.168.0.50:81\">http:\/\/192.168.0.50:81<\/a><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">For Remote access, find what\u2019s the IP given by your network provider. If the ISP provided a static IP, input it on any device that is external. For example, <a href=\"http:\/\/73.67.126.73:81\">http:\/\/73.67.126.73:81<\/a> .<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">To find out what static IP the ISP gave, either check it in the router WAN section or by typing in a browser \u201cWhat\u2019s my IP\u201d and click on the first result.<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Verify if there is an android application for the DVR you have purchased and use the Media Port as the main port for that application.<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Don\u2019t forget to choose cameras with good IR (infra-red light). Required at least of 20 meters during night-time.<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2yQCCwJ\">NVR surveillance systems<\/a> (with PoE) work a little bit differently. It has an internal DHCP for IP cameras to be added through PoE ports. Not only do they receive 12V, but also connects them to the internal address range of the NVR.
