Everything else is easy, but wiring is what makes it hard. I was forced to learn to install alarm systems my own way and using guides as well. Alarm systems are necessary to prevent burglars from coming in. Nowadays, surveillance CCTV cameras are not enough to prevent a burglar from going inside your home. But how to actually get such alarm system? It would be easy to hire an alarm system technician to come and install an alarm system for your house. But what if you wanted to DYI? What are the steps in order to do an efficient alarm system wiring and what components are compulsory. Optional components are useful too, so if you have those as well, great!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Compulsory components are:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Special metal box for alarm system;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Alarm system panel;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Pir sensors;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Siren;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Keypad;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-UPS \/ AVR;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-2 batteries 4Ah (7Ah) 12V DC;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Optional components are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-RTX 3;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Magnets;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-PCS 250, PCS 250G;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Installing the components and wiring<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I won\u2019t go too deep in the installing process. There is a more comprehensive article written <a href=\"https:\/\/nuclearrambo.com\/wordpress\/how-to-install-an-alarm-system-paradox-sp5500\/\">here<\/a> about everything that needs to be done. I will concentrate more on the wiring process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The most important thing to remember is to cut off power to the panel by turning off the fuse switch. And then take out the fuse from the SP5500 panel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SIREN;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>RED<\/strong><\/span>, <strong>BLACK<\/strong>, <span style=\"color: #00ccff;\"><strong>T<\/strong><strong style=\"font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; font-size: 18px; font-style: normal;\">AMPER<\/strong><\/span>, <span style=\"color: #993366;\"><strong>TAMPER<\/strong><\/span>, <strong>START 2<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>PIR MOTION SENSOR;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">NC<\/span>, COM (resistor<span style=\"color: #339966;\"> 1K<\/span>, <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">2K<\/span> to TAMPER), <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">RED<\/span>, BLACK, TAMPER (resistor <span style=\"color: #339966;\">1K<\/span>, <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">2K<\/span> to COM), \u00a0<span style=\"color: #339966;\">TAMPER<\/span>;<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>KEYPAD;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>RED<\/strong><\/span>, <strong>BLACK<\/strong>, <strong><span style=\"color: #00ff00;\">GREEN<\/span>, <span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">YELLOW<\/span>;<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>RTX 3;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>RED<\/strong><\/span>, <strong>BLACK<\/strong>, <strong><span style=\"color: #00ff00;\">GREEN<\/span>, <span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">YELLOW<\/span>;<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SMOKE DETECTOR;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>RED<\/strong><\/span>, <strong>BLACK<\/strong>, <strong><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">NC<\/span>, <span style=\"color: #339966;\">TAMPER<\/span>;<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s important that you use resistors to identify if it\u2019s parallel zoning or not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Do not forget to write with a marker on each specific wire that goes to the panel. 's' : '') + ':\/\/www.profitabledisplaynetwork.com\/a488f095e80c8a74746e5fdca977eaea\/invoke.js\"><\/scr' + 'ipt>');\n<\/script><\/p><\/center>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Wiring main box and panel<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Main box contains a transformer which needs to be wired to the main power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From the transformer you need to use the AC wires to power up the panel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cut the brown wire as you only need yellow and blue wires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Connect the earthing wire in the panel where it shows the earth ground symbol<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then start connecting the wires for each component:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Siren:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>RED<\/strong><\/span>, <strong>BLACK<\/strong>, <span style=\"color: #339966;\"><strong>Z1<\/strong> (<strong>TAMPER<\/strong>)<\/span>, <strong><span style=\"color: #339966;\">COM (TAMPER)<\/span>, <\/strong>BELL \u2013 and + <strong><span style=\"color: #339966;\">(START 2)<\/span>;<\/strong> for SP5500, the green wire goes to \u2013 on the BELL using a resistor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>It doesn\u2019t have to be Z1, it can be any zone you wish. This is the most important step to do after you have done the wiring process. Proceed on wiring one battery to the siren and then connect the other battery to the SP5500 board. Make sure you do it in the order that i mentioned. Turn on the fuse switch for the main power and then put the fuse for the control panel back in its place.
