Seems like people nowadays are very bored and feel the need to create more dangerous viruses over the internet.

The new Skype virus that would put in danger your private life, security of your account, private life of your friends, their security as well.

 WHAT DOES THE SKYPE VIRUS DO

What it does is once you click the link it sends the link with the virus to all your friends in skype. (example link: lol is this your new profile pic? (Link)img=Your Skype Username)

It also installs a backdoor into your computer.

Keylogs all other files. It blocks deletion of the virus, Cmd and taskman.

Turns out that once you click the link, Sometimes it will download a rar, if it did that you still aren’t safe as it downloads many more auto run backdoors as soon as you click the link.

Also the skype virus spreader is hidden in the application data, you can delete it from there you still aren’t safe. From what i know that will only stop you from sending the link to others, but you still have the backdoor in your computer. The backdoor is a keylogger which sends all your logins to the main host (aka. The one who created the virus along with the backdoor).

THE ONLY WAY to make sure this skype virus doesn’t spread out to your friends is by being super cautious, check all your files all the time, warn your friends about this, never click links unless the link is known to you or comes from a reputed website.

PS. I have not been infected but i’ve read some reports about this yesterday. Take extra caution of this skype virus! Good luck!
